Overview

All users, except for collaborators, can create new tasks from Backlog Boxes in Workload charts that they have access to unless their access role restricts it.

To avoid leaving the Workload chart to create additional tasks, you can create new tasks directly in the Backlog Box of your Workload chart.

Note

You can create new tasks only if the Backlog Box is configured and is in the vertical view.

Create tasks from the Backlog Box

  1. Navigate to the relevant Backlog Box.

  2. Click Backlog Box in the upper-right corner.

  3. Switch the Backlog Box to vertical view, if necessary.

  4. Click +New Task.

  5. Enter the title for the new task.

  6. Click the arrow icon to the right of the title field or hit Enter on your keyboard.

The created task is tagged with the folder, project, or space that you selected as the source for the Box. If you haven’t selected any particular location as the Box source, the created tasks are placed in the Shared with me section.
